THE CHARACTER OF THE HOUSE
The past,
to be lived.
The light of Apulian festivals meets original cement tiles, Art Nouveau furniture and a bathtub for two. A small world devoted to intimacy.

A festival of light, all for two
The Suite Luminaria was born from the wish to create, inside Novecento, a space devoted to relaxation and to the intimacy of a couple. A complete restyling brought in the luminarie, the festival lights typical of Puglia, a miniature bandstand and original decorated cement tiles from the early twentieth century. The furnishings tell the story of the area through light, shapes and materials.
The maple-wood bed, high and soft, takes the centre of the room, surrounded by many cushions. Art Nouveau bedside tables and dressing table accompany it with the character of period furniture.

Choosing the mood
The bedside lamps offer a soft red-violet glow or a stronger warm white. At the centre of the vault, a rose window of single-colour festival lights illuminates the suite and lets you take in the details of the restoration. The exposed ceiling and the antique hand-painted ceramic chandelier complete this dialogue between light and architecture.
The bed and bedside tables have been carefully restored. The curtained wardrobe is made from reclaimed wood and closed by macramé lace; the dressing table, with silver brushes and vintage magazines, adds to the stay the pleasure of discovering collector’s pieces.

The bathtub room
The two-person whirlpool bath has a room of its own, with a distinctively patterned floor and a front mosaic of Apulian tiles. The central light filters through an old sieve. Reclaimed wooden poles become grab rails, chairs are used as towel racks and washboards turn into shelves, beside a relaxation bench.
The original listing describes hot/cold whirlpool jets, chromotherapy and ion therapy. These are features of the bath as reported by the house: a space to be enjoyed calmly, without hurry, in the private time of a stay for two.

The bathroom and the details of the restoration
The en-suite bathroom, in retro style, has a large shower for two. A shield-shaped mirror in gilded brass, matching wall lamps and chandelier tell of the search for antique pieces. A hat rack in antiqued brass, with scrolls in relief, is reinterpreted as a bathrobe hook.
Fruit crates painted white and trimmed with lace hold the towels. A white wrought-iron tripod, with its tin basin and jug, keeps the memory of the old washstand. Air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi, smart monitor and minibar sit alongside the historic furnishings; the house also offers a personalised set-up of the suite, to be requested directly.
